Charlotte - 2nd time mum - it’s never too late to join Pregnancy Yoga in Northwich!

Charlotte attended pregnancy yoga last summer.

Listening to her feedback after each class, and afterwards as we corresponded as she was waiting for baby (and later post-birth) I asked her to record her overall experience of taking classes together at Mind Body Balance Academy in Northwich.

There were some many takeaways which I think will speak to other kind approaching their second or third etc births.

Find out about her story below and comment if youvtejate or would like to join sessions too. Links at the bottom of the post.

‘I joined Yoga with Maryline in Northwich fairly late in my pregnancy expecting my second daughter in the summer.

I was still working at the time with very little free time looking after a toddler, however I managed a 4-week course of classes.

In a short time, I was able to refresh my practice of calming breathing techniques, and ease my achy hips symptoms.

Maryline also took time to go through positions to be more confortable at night, 32 weeks onwards and it made a big difference.

From 36 weeks I struggled to make it to classes due to the heat or tiredness, however I stayed connected to Maryline’s WhatsApp group and enjoyed the tips and links she shared after classes.

I also followed Maryline’s recommendations with practicing her free YouTube birth preparation videos. I found those really helpful to boost my confidence towards birth as I was hoping to have less interventions than during my first birth.

Maryline had a spare Tens machine which I was grateful to borrow. Once again, this was a kind gesture, it helped a lot with the pain.

My daughter came 7 days past her due date, on a Sunday night after a day of spontaneous and continuous labour that progressed well.

I was shocked when I arrived at the hospital and they said I was 7cm. The Tens Machine and maryline breathing techniques helped me so much to get to that stage!  I had the epidural shortly after but felt in control using her many tips about birth mechanics.

Maryline’s resources, her dedication to the subject of birth, and her solution focused approach helped my mindset to switch and all contributed to having the birth I wanted.

She understood my needs straight away and clearly wanted the best for my well-being.

I made informed decisions about my birth, felt more confident leading up to it, and had a positive experience.

I’d strongly recommend going to her sessions even starting when you are further along in your pregnancy.

Maryline’s supports you in a variety of ways and I felt that her input was spot on.

It wasn’t too late joining pregnancy yoga around 32 weeks, I’m glad that I made time for it, it has definitely impacted my birth and my mental preparation positively as I was approaching my second birth a bit anxious. Thank you.’
